Alpinestars T-Breeze Air-Flo Jacket Review
Picture this, you are riding along a long desolate highway and are a good distance away from any sort of civilization. It's a hot summer's day so you wore a mesh jacket. You begin to feel a few drops of water falling from the sky. Before you know it you are in a the middle of a downpour. That mesh jacket that was keeping you cool is now keeping you wet! Alpinestars T-Breeze Air-Flo Jacket is the answer to providing a summer mesh jacket that wont absorb water.
style
The T-Breeze Air-flo Jacket has a clean-cut simple design. Colors come in either black and white, black red and white, or black blue and white. The front right chest displays an embroidered Alpinestars logo while the back showcases Alpinestars name. The material the jacket is made of shines and exudes that 'coolness' factor.
features
The T-breeze air-flo is made from a non-water absorbing polyester mesh fabric to stop the transfer of wet / dampness that occurs on most leather and textile jackets. In addition there is a removable long sleeve liner that provides resistance against wind and water. The jacket certainly cuts through the wind quite well and is also lightweight. The jacket can also be attached to certain Alpinestars leather pants via a connection zipper. This gives the rider seamless protection between jacket and pants.
The jacket has an adjustable waist strap for a more comfortable fit as well as sleeves that are tailored to be curved - conforming to the rider's natural riding arm position.
To create greater visibility to other drivers the t-breeze airflo has reflective material along the sleeves, and across the back and chest.
safety
CE certified elbow and shoulder protectors are embedded in the jacket to provide the rider with armored protection as well as a foam back pad which can be swapped with CE certified back protector (unfortunately sold separately - although we recommend picking it up).
quality
The jacket has a multiple stitched seam for greater resistance against tears and rips. As previously mentioned the mesh material of the jacket is made from 600D Polyester fabric that is non water absorbing.
show me the money
The T-breeze airflo jacket costs USD $199.95.
overall value
This jacket is great for the rider who wants to keep comfortable in hot and/or wet weather without breaking the bank. The jacket really breaks the wind and keeps you warm and dry in all non-winter weather. The clean-cut design is sharp and stylish. The ability to add a CE certified back protector will re-assure those who are more conscious of safety concerns.
